Which pollen does Sneezecast forecast?
The tree, grass and weed pollen that Google’s Pollen API forecasts for your area, five days ahead: oak, birch, maple, grasses, ragweed, juniper and more, with the EPA’s AirNow air quality alongside.
Where does it work?
Forecasts cover the United States for now. You can share your location or type a ZIP code.
How does it learn which pollen gets me?
Each evening you log how the day felt in two taps, and any medicine you took. After ten logged days, the app compares your diary with the pollen and the air of each day, on your phone, and ranks what moves your symptoms.
How long until it knows?
The first read comes after ten logged days and is marked Early. It becomes Settling from 21 days and Solid from 45. If your days have been too alike to tell apart, it says so instead of guessing.
Is my diary private?
Yes. Your symptoms, medicine, notes and triggers never leave your phone. Only a rough area about 28 km across is sent to fetch the forecast.
Is it free?
The forecast, the morning verdict, starred plants, the diary, widgets and reminders are free, with no ads. Sneezecast Plus adds your ranked triggers and fingerprint, sensitivity by plant, indoor air, kid profiles and the allergist report: $29.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $4.99 a month.
Can I use it for my child?
Yes. The first profile can be you or your child. Profiles for more children come with Plus, and every profile stays on the parent’s phone.
Does it work with an air monitor?
With Plus, Sneezecast can read an Awair monitor over your home Wi-Fi, so the verdict can say when to close the windows or run the purifier. The readings stay on your phone.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Sneezecast is on iPhone.
Is this medical advice?
No. Sneezecast offers decision support, not medical advice. It doesn’t diagnose or treat any condition. Talk to your doctor about your allergies and your medicine.
The widget says “Open to refresh.”
The forecast it shows is more than 18 hours old. Open Sneezecast once and the widget updates.
How do I restore Plus on a new phone, or cancel it?
To restore, open Settings → Sneezecast Plus → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID. To cancel, open the iOS Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Sneezecast. Plus stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
